Advocacy Programs

We are committed to advocating for the rights and empowerment of children and youth with disabilities. Through collaboration with various institutions and agencies, we strive to ensure access to quality education, work opportunities, and inclusion in essential health programs.

Uwezo Youth Empowerment (UWEZO) is an organization that was established by youth with disabilities. UWEZO’s mission is to serve as a platform for children and young people with disabilities that promotes equal access to human rights, education, healthcare, and economic opportunity.

We advocate for the provision of quality education for children and youth with disabilities at primary, secondary, technical schools and universities. We do this through lobbying visits to institutions, developing position papers etc..

Self Advocates:We train children and youth with disabilities to become their own advocates.

This is a wonderful approach of creating the next generation of advocates who masters their issues Advocating for the inclusion of children and youth with disabilities and other margnizalized in sexual and reproductive health programmes.

UWEZO being the only cross disability organization for youth with disabilities, advocacy and awareness raising on the rights of children and youth with disabilities remains at the core of our operations.

UWEZO champions the advocacy towards the realization of the rights and empowerment of children and youth with disabilities . We do this through collaboration national, regional and international agencies intervening in our cause .
