
On November 30th 2024, Uwezo Youth Empowerment joined Umuganda program in Gasabo, Rusororo, where Uwezo organized a meaningful tree planting activity that brought together youth and children with disabilities, aligning with Rwanda’s national 2024-2025 Tree Planting Season initiative. Under the theme “Plant a Tree, Nurture It, Save the Planet,” this initiative is a bold commitment to plant over 65 million seedlings across the country, fostering environmental stewardship and tackling the challenges of climate change and deforestation.
The event exemplified the power of inclusivity and community collaboration, as participants actively contributed to Rwanda’s sustainability efforts. Children and youth with disabilities took center stage, proving that everyone, regardless of their abilities, has a role to play in safeguarding our planet
