Welcome to the Parents Support Groups
In ensuring the well-being and safety of children with disabilities, UWEZO has mobilized the parents of children with disabilities to come together as groups to exchange living experiences and learn from one another how better to care for their children. The parents are trained in positive parenting of children with disabilities.
Support and Training
In addition to parenting support, these groups receive training in financial skills, including saving, loan management, and small business development. This helps parents leverage their savings to start businesses and enhance their agricultural activities.
Financial Support and Impact
UWEZO has provided substantial financial support, with seven million Rwandan Francs allocated to twelve groups across Musanze, Gasabo, and Kicukiro. This funding enables the groups to sustain their activities and continue advocating for the rights and well-being of children with disabilities.Additional Information
